  From innocent to...

  how many of you initally checked out this site for completely innocent reasons?

  just stumbed across it and couldnt' stop reading, or to see what was being read with the intent of setting us or someone else in your life straight?

  then b/c of what you read you could no longer buy into the whole jw fraud and left the org or are in the process of leaving?

  My evil apostate husband reffered me to this site... how EVIL of him! I see something growing... is that his horns? or is it in his pants?

  ANyway.... JStalin..... YOU WERE NEVER EVEN AT MORE THAN ONE MEETING????? DUDE??? are you bored???? we love ya, love to have ya, like your hot pic, but geesh! i wish i didn't have to therapize myself like this! and you voluntarly do this???? OH WAIT!!!I I KNOW WHAT IT"S LIKE!!! remember in Breakfast Club, at the end of the day , ALLY Sheedy (cant believe i know that) says " i didn't really have detention, i was just bored" - that's what it's like!!!

  that would be a fun "anit-witness" thing to do ... but more to the subject...... i realize that saturday at our elders meeting we're gonna give them our da letter.

  this is damn emotional stuff.

  brand new here, haven't even picked out avatar yet.

  but i feel the need to reach out and touch someone (smile).

  my situation is a little confusing to me, i am definitely on the way out and have been fading for quite some time, however my decision to leave has just been made very recently.

  I'm new ( a couple weeks) to this site as well, and you will find it so therapudic and full of ...amazingly enough... great people!

  We always have discussed that the people we feel the worst for are those that aren't "in" but still believe it's the truth. That's got to be a terrible feeling of thinking you're surely going to die at armageddon!!

  He's probably not as aware and on top of things if he was at meetings, so all the "new light " that contradicts the "old light" stuff doesn't matter as much.

  We always suggest Crisis of Conscience... best book ever. I really recommend "awakening of a Jehovahs witness" equally. COC is incredible and factual... great first book, but , as a girl, I enjoyed awakening almost more. It really made it understandable why i was in this religion all this time, how it does make you feel so happy and at home with so many friends and really poses benifits ... unless you might question.

  Anyway, that's just a suggestion as to where to start... it's nice to have you.

  I don't really like my sister...

  she has the capability of being nice but i never feel like its very warm.

  i've tried to reach out to her before but i just have nothing in common with her.

  i don't even feel comfortable around her.. because of her personality, the idea of just being in her presence stresses me out.

  I'm sorry to hear that. It sounds just like my situation with my best friend, who we always said we're sisters (but better cuz we love each other-did, past tense). Now my kids and her kids are being punished because she feels i'm apostate... which i guess is true in a general sense... but ....

  I'ts NOT fair the kids have to suffer.... I hate to say this.... i dont think there's anyway around it. You might have more lee-way since it is your sister, but probably not. Once you're apostate , your kids are apostate too aparently.

  has anyone needed Meds to get thru this process???

  im' really thinkin' i might need to get.... something!

  some kind of drugs to go thru this... ativan, xanax.... something... or i'm gonna make myself sick dealing with saying good-bye to all my life-long friends and family by saturday.... any suggestions on good drugs?

  didd you have to go to your general dr. to get them... or psych?.

  I'm actually shocked and proud of all of your mental stability! i thought for SURE people would jump at the chance to recommend their favorite drug... I'm so proud.

  Thank you so much. I think you're all right...It is too soon if i'm gonna have a breakdown. I'll see if Robert7 could get them to reschedule... or put it off awhile... as we TOLD HIM ORIGINALLY AND HE DIDN"T LISTEN CUZ HE"S A WUSS!!!

  yes i thought rutherford's policy on kid's was dead and the society had wised up....until i read the new "witnesses only" watchtower study magazine...compare.. rutherford's last book "children" 1942 = p.281 "wait until after armagedon to bring children into the world...it is only afew years before the other sheep are gathered to the lord, until armagedon...those with infants during armagedon will have greater woe...it would be a far greater difficulty to care for them during the tribulation.".

  it is sad..... but

  ARENT YOU GLAD that there might be LESS JW's if the dont procreate?????? yea!!!!!!

  What makes me mad about this.. and many other "guideline suggestions" like this, as opposed to "rules"... My girlfriend who's the witness, husband is not. I can tell the husband "witnesses tell the cong. NOT to have kids, it's highly not suggested" but of course, good witness says "NO! it's up to us!!"

  Its the congnitive dissodence.. though i cant spell it. There's lots of subjects that "we" on the inside, know are "wrong" but are worded so if someone is coming in the truth, and would be turned off by that , we could say "oh , no, it's really up to you". I HATE THAT.

  update...husband made appt. with the elders, what do you think of this?....

  ok... so my husband felt bad that the elders wanted to meet with us and he wasn't responding... so he set it up for saturday at 2 even though everyone said dont meet with them.

  oh ya, and everyone said not to meet with them at your house, but again, he didn't want to rock the boat.

  it's funny, though he was the first one to leave, he's still afraid and doesn't want to "raise any red flags" he's willing to just say "we're discouraged, can you just leave us alone fora while" feel free to yell at him (robert7).. here's the thing.

  I love that. I really love that, i could keep that in my back pocket if i need it, love it.

  As for the last few comments that show that MAYBE if we keep it light, we can just be "hurt and discouraged" and just be able to walk away... i guess we should start with that, then if they want to push more, have our DA letters ready in case?

  Have plan A, plan B and secret plan C ... and a secret handshake!!
